Gundala Kindergarten Association is led and governed by a Management Committee of Association members who are existing parents and non-parent members, all who are volunteers.

The Volunteer Management Committee (VMC) delegates the day-to-day operation of Gundala Kindy to the Director/Nominated Supervisor, and oversees the overall governance of the centre in areas which include financial management, employment and legislation requirements under the National Quality Framework, and the Queensland Kindergarten Funding Scheme. 

The Management Committee meets formally with Gundala’s Director/nominated supervisor at least monthly.

Gundala’s AGM is held early in the year and all Gundala Association members are welcome.  Being part of the AGM is a great opportunity to hear about all the accomplishments, challenges and futures directions of Gundala.  It’s also an opportunity to nominate to become a member of the Management Committee.   Gundala continues to be committed to being be shaped by its families and community for its children, families and community.

The biggest prerequisites for being on the Management Committee is an in-love-ness with Gundala, a willingness to be an advocate for children and families, and being able to commit time to fulfill on the responsibilities.  We strongly encourage all people who are considering electing for the Management Committee positions to speak directly with the President and others members of the VMC so that you are clear about the role and accountabilities that you will be committing too.
