How to enrol at Gundala Kindergarten?

You are welcome to enrol your child online now or come and visit Gundala talk to our Director and take a tour of the Centre. Visiting Gundala is a great way for us to meet each other and just as important for your child to check out the Kindy. It’s important that your child feels comfortable with us, and you can gauge if we are the right match for your child’s needs and your family expectations.

It’s best if you can make a prior appointment, please phone us on 3893 2087 or email: director@gundalakindy.net.au to book a time. The office is open from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm Wednesday's.

During your visit we can go through the enrolment pack with you, answer all your important questions, and help you fill out the forms.

Session Times

Gundala Kindergarten has two multi age groups (3 1/2 to 5 1/5 years) of up to 22 children who attend 5 days a fortnight each. Children attend Kindy either in our Kowinka Group of Talwalpin Group. The session times are as follows:

What to bring

You will need a copy of -

  • Your child’s birth certificate

  • Current immunisation record - we do not exclude children from Gundala Kindergarten if you have chosen not to vaccinate your child for medical, health, religious, cultural or any other reason. We do ask that you fill out and sign a Conscientious Objector Form to verify that you are aware that your child may be excluded from attending Gundala if there is an outbreak of a vaccine preventable disease until the outbreak has cleared. Please discuss this further with the Director.

  • Medicare card

  • Health Care Card or Pension Card if you have one.

  • Emergency contacts

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families

Gundala’s is a community Kindergarten specifically established through the hard work of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to give Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children equal access to an Early childhood education. In line with our Constitution and the National Closing The Gap Agenda, Gundala’s priority enrolments are to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families. Gundala does recognises and respects the diverse individual needs, circumstances and cultures of all children and families and we welcome all children and families to enrol and become part of our Gundala Community where availability exists.

When our kindergarten programs are full you have the option to place your child’s name on our Wait List.Please complete our Wait List Application form. We will phone you directly when an opening becomes available.

Please inform Gundala of any changes in your circumstances or personal details to keep your application current.
